Emerson Network Power has announced its foray into the enterprise inverter segment with the launch of breakthrough technology 'In Pulse' with output rating of 30 kVa.
In Pulse inverters are high capacity industrial back-up solutions that offer an alternative to cumbersome and noisy diesel generators sets that industries use for high-capacity power back-up. In Pulse offers various benefits over traditional generators such as low operational cost, no manual intervention required, no noise or air pollution, low total cost of ownership and payback period, unbalanced load distribution is possible and many more. Various verticals and applications where In pulse can be used include real estate (lift, water motor, staircase lighting), retail (air conditioners, telecom (shelters), battery and electrical contracts.
The go-to-market strategy for In-Pulse is 100 percent channel-centric. This product category has lucrative service revenue opportunities for partners. This extensive network will also provide sales and service support to its clients
Commenting on the launch, Jitendra Sonar, Sr. Product Manager Monitoring and Inverter, ENP said, "

Shin added, "We would support our reseller partners by organizing promotional activities to raise awareness on LG SMB Solutions among both target users (SMBs) and potential users (general customers). We intend to build SMB experience zones for customers to visit and explore the right products."
The wants to increase its focus on IT and it feels that the commercial segment would be the key to its growth in the next year. The company has now added a slew of products to its enterprise portfolio, launched this year, to lure the SMB.

Just as Microsoft worked out a compromise to its long-running conflict with the European Union, it now faces the prospect of legal action from a pair of small companies the software giant has allegedly wronged.
Last week Microsoft admitted that a Chinese contract developer, hired by MSN China to develop its Juku microblogging site, copied code from Plurk, a competing site. Although Microsoft has apologized for the fiasco, Plurk has hinted that it might take legal action.
Now comes word that a small design firm in
Last week Bing! Information Designs LLC filed the lawsuit against Microsoft in the 22nd Judicial Circuit of the Missouri Circuit Court in

The company is seeking "actual and punitive damages," including having Microsoft pay for advertising to reverse the confusion the software vendor has created, according to a Dow Jones Newswire story. The suit does not specify a dollar amount for the alleged damages.
Microsoft spokespersons have said they don't believe the suit has any merit.
One point in Microsoft's defense: While the St Louis Bing! claims that it has been using the name for almost 10 years, the company just filed a trademark application for the name in Mayafter word began circulating that Microsoft might adopt the name, according to a story published online today by the Guardian newspaper in
As for the Plurk case, the Canadian company has yet to take legal action, but a posting on the company's blog last week indicated that a lawsuit is likely.
"We are currently looking at all possibilities on how to move forward in response to Microsoft's recent apology statement," said Alvin Woon, Co-founder, Plurk in the blog. "We are still thinking of pursuing the full extent of our legal options available, due [to] the seriousness of the situation. Basically, Microsoft accepts responsibility, but they do not offer accountability."

Punjab Director General of Police NS Gill said that the Ludhiana police failed to act on the complaint of the migrant labourers as they were busy making arrangements for an upcoming public function.
The police inaction is believed to have provoked the labourers in Dhandari Kalan in Ludhiana to a violent protest since Thursday evening following which curfew had to be clamped in five police stations.
Gill claimed the situation was quiet now. He said while there were no reports of how many civilians sustained injuries, 15 police personnel had been injured. The DGP put the number of damaged vehicles at 23 which included nine that had been torched.
The DGP said that according to its information one Sube Lal, a labourer had approached the police last night to lodge a complaint of looting. Provoked by the police inaction, the labourers gheraoed the police station before moving on to block traffic and damaging the vehicles.
The authorities clamped curfew in five police stations on Friday when the violence intensified.
